New functions in picCOLOR basic program:

- Some new arithmetic functions: AND, OR, XOR,... , SQRT, Power Spectrum
- New selections of object feature display and feature file save
- New color space conversions (RGB->YIQ)
- Cyclic HUE color buffer subtraction functions
- New versions of Watershed function
- New Distance function with Euclidian distance

New functions for the F/64 imageing board of CORECO:

- The picCOLOR program on the F/64 uses WINDOWS NT
- Output data can be transfered to other programs via the DDE interface
- The program can be controlled remotely by other programs
- Many functions have been translated for the fast TMS320C40 DSP processor

New 3D-Position Tracking Extension Module:

The position and orientation of a 3-dimensional object can be tracked
in real time. Two cameras in stereo arrangement are used for this task.
If the location of the cameras is not known, the system can determine
the necessary transformation matrices by using a known test object.
The object position can be output as 3D-point coordinates or as dis-
placement and rotation relative to a reference position, using different
rotation models, like "yaw, pitch, roll" for airplanes.

Fringe Correlation Method Extension Module:

The FCM module was completely optimized. Accuracy even without additional
calibration is very high. Results of the 3D-position tracking module can
additionally be used for calibration, if the object in question is moving.
Additional functions include statistical estimates, like mean displacement
of a series of deflection images, standard deviation, and accuracy of the
arithmetic mean value. New functions for graphical display of the results
are color coded vector display and combined color coded surface and vector
display. For helicopter applications the variations in the angle of attack
of the blades can be determined.

Particle Image Velocimetry Module:

The PIV module was completely reorganized and optimized. A second pass of
the correlation results in an extended resolution and accuracy. New functions
include the calculation of vorticity fields, statistical calculations like
mean, standard deviation, accuracy estimation of the arithmetic mean, and
the turbulence field. New functions for color coded display of the velocity
or vorticity fields are implemented
